Glendale School

The Glendale School of Musical Arts wants to make your musical experience the best possible for you & your son/daughter. Therefore, please read the policies outlined below.

1. Make Up Lessons: The Glendale School of Musical Arts allows each student 3 make-up private lessons per year. An excused absence requires at least 24 hours prior notice to the missed lesson. Your make-up lesson will be scheduled at a time designated by a teacher that is agreeable to the student or the lesson may be taught by another GSMA teacher if applicable.

2. Make up Classes: A student is allowed 1 excused absence per class session and may be made up by substituting another class in another session that same semester/year.

3. Cancellation & No Show Policy: Please call our office or contact your teacher directly if you cannot attend your private lesson or class. SAME DAY CANCELLATIONS MUST CALL THE STUDIO OR TEACHER BY 10 AM TO RECEIVE A MAKE UP LESSON. NO SHOWS WILL NOT RECEIVE A MAKE-UP LESSON/CLASS. No refunds will be given for a no show lesson/class.

4. Teacher Absence: Any lesson/class missed by the teacher due to illness or unavoidable schedule conflict will be made up by the teacher.

5. Inclement Weather Cancellation: Any lessons or classes cancelled due to inclement weather (we will usually follow the school districts in our area) will only be made up if the teacherʼs schedule permits. Please call our office for a recorded message or visit our website for any special announcements. Any weather announcements will be made on local TV stations (WLWT, WKRC, WCPO, WXIX).

6. Discontinued Lessons or Classes: If any lessons or classes are discontinued for any reason by a student, we require a 30 day notice in writing to the teacher or office. You will still be billed for any lessons or classes taken after the 30 days notice of termination has been submitted.

7. Enrollment Fee & Refunds: There is a $20 GSMA registration fee per year for lessons & classes taken by a student. Enrollment fees for lessons or classes are non-refundable if a student discontinues them for any reason. Tuition will only be refunded in cases of extended illness or injury of the student and must be submitted in writing to our office.

8. Privacy Policy: Any information we collect about you e.g. your personal information (name, address, phone, email address, & payment information) will only be used for communication purposes by the Glendale School of Musical Arts.

9. Publicity Policy: The Glendale School of Musical Arts may occasionally take photographs of its lessons or classes to be used for publicity purposes only. By participating in our lessons or classes, you agree to this premise unless a written statement to be excluded from such photographs is submitted to our office.

10. Liability Policy: The Glendale School of Musical Arts is not liable for any injury sustained nor will be held responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of participation in any class or activity held at our business establishment.

11. Parent Supervision: We ask that parents escort their children to each lesson/class and pick them up promptly when it is over. GSMA faculty cannot be responsible for watching any children beyond their scheduled lesson or class time.

12. Tuition/Payments: All tuition payments will be due PRIOR TO START OF THE LESSON/CLASS. Monthly payments are due by the 1st day of the month. Any payments made after the 5th day of the month will incur a $15 late payment fee.
